Default Volvo 2001 v70 2.0T oil consumption

Hello guys.
I own a 2001 Volvo v70 with a 2.0T engine and it has 150 k miles
I have been noticing that it has been showing a big oil consumption.
There is no water in the coolant
The turbo has never been touched thou
Maybe the pcv needs lookin into?
Any ideas?

I am the first owner of the car

Also what would be the best oil to use?
I use now 5w40

How much oil does it use per X km/miles (or between oil changes)?

Is there any blue smoke from the exhaust upon cold startup or under acceleration when driving?

If it has suddenly started to use much more oil, did something else change around the same time, for example some other mechanical work carried out?

Are there any oil leaks on the engine block or associated components?

How much oil is it using?

Look up on Youtube how to check for PCV. If going to replace it, make sure the oil passage in the sump is also clear by blowing air through the block holes.

The sump (oil pan) is where the oil sits at rest, underneath the engine. The block holes are exposed when the PCV system is removed, because the oil that passes through the PCV box returns inside the engine through the block and goes inside the oil pan. If the PCV box is clogged, the holes in the engine block as well as the passage inside the oil pan also have a tendency to clogg and need cleaned.

Fatandre,
usually when we say ' the block', we mean the body of the engine, the big metal bit that has the pistons inside.

I got the feeling you were confused as we also say 'block' or 'un-block' when we talk of a restriction in a pipe etc....

I know English is not your first language so bravo.
