Default RICA, OBD and mpg display

Hello,

I have read that "piggyback" devices - like Powerklick - can interfere with the ecu determination of mpg and display wrongly on the dashboard.

I am right in thinking that a RICA, or equivalent, remap would not result in any errors, and therefore the mpg would be accurate ?

Many Thanks

I have an MTE map and the MPG is fairly accurate if I drive constant but if I drasticly change my driving style within a short distance it does wander.

PK is an oil burner device and they quote on their website it may do silly things with mpg etc. a good re-map won't IMHO

When nuisance had his car custom mapped by Rica/VT the mpg was wildly inaccurate and he has photo's showing his average as being @ 55mpg in a T5 yeah right..........

his MTE map is accurate for his mpg though AFAIK.

Many thanks for the replies - I guess as usual its a case of it "shouldn't" make a difference, but all cars are different and there are so many variables anyway!

Cheers
