Default new brake pads

I need to get a set of front pads for my v70 xc, should I get volvo one or just pop down to eurocarparts and pick up a set there????

Also I assume it's a stright forward job?

Thanks

Eurocarparts pads will be absolutely fine BUT try your Volvo dealer and ASK NICELY for a 30% discount on them. You should get it, i did, but then again i was wearing my Pink Tutu at the time!

VERY VERY straightforward job. 30 minutes all in for both sides and i am not joking.

FRF Volvo give good discounts on genuine parts if you have no luck at the dealer: http://www.frfvolvo.co.uk/mo-volvo-parts.asp

I've also read on the forum that EBC Greenstuff pads are also good and produce less dust.

Tutu and marigolds are a great option!

Hi,

I recommend Rufe. The prices are good and if you order service items with the part (filters, etc.) the postage is easily swallowed up with the discount. Well worth a call.

I have bought many pattern parts when I first got my V70 many years ago and without exception I have had to replace these parts with OEM parts from Rufe.

Some pattern parts are of good quality. But unless given good advice I would stick to Volvo. So now I won’t risk pattern parts (with the exception of recommended HD drop links) as I hate having to redo work to replace parts that were not up to the job.

Bob

It's optional but the extra space can assist if you encounter seized nuts!
