Default Can I enable TPMS on my 2006 V70?

In the US a TPMS system is compulsory in all new cars. So my UK V70 should presumably have the equipment in the cabin for it, just not been activated or had the wheel sensors fitted.

You can buy the sensors for about $50 each. -> http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tchlink:top:en

Can I get the system enabled in my car? This article (http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthr...be-retrofitted) suggest you can...

To be honest, i would'nt rely on it anyway. I like to check my tyres every week, you see more of what you need to when you're physically down at the wheels

Yes volvo do a kit about £120 for 4 sensors then you need software to activate it . But only on the New V70/S80 etc from 2007-8 not the old style V70 ..

Yeah, that does look to be the case according to the Volvo Accessories website.

However, for the US market TPMS was fitted to all 2006 V70s. Which makes me think my care does have the equipment, only not been enabled...

And there is also a section in the manual for a TPMS...

Maybe it was a factory fit option? Rather than a 'factory enabled' option that I am hoping.
