Dropping from beneath is my preferred.
If you check Vida, I'm pretty sure it's the official method too.

That said, your listed codes don't directly relate to an air leak but both do relate to a faulty MAF so check its operation with live data and check the wiring.

A leaking intercooler or any air leak could generate MAF codes but Vida isn't offering that with your codes listed above so I wouldn't be splashing out on an ic just yet.

Well, so far taken the intercooler and aircon out.

The intercooler has an inch split along the bottom so have replaced that. Put the hose pipe in one end and water poured out the bottom.

Also the aircon radiator while I was as it. Will test that later for leaks.

Did it taking the bumper and slam panel off which was relatively simple as it turns out. It may well be easier from underneath but it you cant jack it up far enough; top is just as good.

As it turns out the headlight washers have never worked so its been a good opportunity to get those unblocked.

Richard

PS the fog light connection is a push in not a pull .... as I found to my cost!

All back together and the MAF errors cleared off. 50 mile run to test the car .... so far so good. Goes well and no hesitation and no engine light... so far.
