Default V70 turning over but not firing

Hi Folks, this is my 1st post...So be gentle..!!
2001 V70 2.4 petrol, only bought it 2 weeks ago so still learning to live with it..
parked up last week car was running fine, went out next day fired and died..!

since then Iv'e had 2 mechanics out to look at it, but neither can find the fault

she starts (sometimes) runs for 10-15 seconds then dies...

after that she just turns over ...no ignition at all

have changed the plugs (spark present on all)

changed the clips on the injectors ( all checked on tec2 #2 not working)

I did let the fuel get low the day before this all started, have replaced fuel filter as well, power going to pump and pump runs on ignition...

sorry if this is a bit long winded, just letting you know what iv'e done so far

cheers for any help....

Possibly an immobiliser fault? Have you got both keys to try?
Also the immobiliser antenna ring near the ignition barrel have been known to fail.
I'm assuming the mechanics have checked things like the battery and starter motor.....

Plus 1 on the immobiliser fault. My neighbour has a 1998 s70. He had similar symptoms, 2 garages failed to diagnose the antenna fault. Remove upper and lower casing from around the steering wheel, unplug the connector and remove the antenna ring, quick squirt with contact cleaner, let it dry, then put it all back. 15 minutes including getting your tools out and putting them away. Its been 6 months now, never faulted since.

Default non start

When you say no ignition have you actually ascertained that no spark is happening ?ie by removing a plug and grounding it with a jump lead and looking for a spark .
No spark or spark will get you on the right foot at least .
The run for few seconds then stop is also a sign of an engine management fault ,as the engine starts ,then decides things aren't right so I had better stop .If the fault is not obvious you will have to get the codes read to make progress. As
Cheshire says it could be the immobilizer playing up too ,but I suspect in that case it would never fire at all

I take it the spark plugs are bone dry when you take them out?
