Default XC60 front seat head restraints

Are you able to remove them?

We were in the first gen XC60 (although a bit of a faff), we have rear seat entertainment that attaches to the stalks of the restraints.

If not what after options market options are you aware of there I've seen some sort of Velcro affair on the Amazon?

Thanks

Not a simple process but def can be removed..

Not sure if removing them will help you with screen mounting- as the stalks are fully covered by what they call "headrest protector" - without some dremelling involved, ofcourse..

Most people go with the factory ipad mounts or- if you're looking to mount something other than an ipad- a brodit headrest mount. I personally use one of those velcro-type mounts- cheap and work great.

Thanks. The factory ipad mount is £410 a piece and I need 2, what a monumental rip off for a £2 piece of plastic!

Anyway, they're not ipads just aftermarket DvD players. They are designed to attach to the stalks of the head restraint. I'll have to look into some Velcro numbers don't fancy attempting to take the seat apart I might develop a rattle and I can't handle rattles!

Factory one is not just the mounts- but also USB power supply and some other bits & pieces- but yeah- it's a ripoff..

You can have a look at both brodit and the velcro one I use on an earlier thread: https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...07#post2488707

Stumbled upon this one- a pretty good instruction on how to remove front headrests- it's not that complex after all..
