Default HELP - Blower Fan won't Turn off... Even when engine off..!

ME AGAIN.

I will update all about my previous woes (see my previous threads and how having spent £1700 got that fixed.. but others probably could do it for £300 now I know the issues)

Today wife driving and turns engine off but blower fan on at high pelt. Despite turning engine off its still on!

So I removed the negative from the battery and as soon as I reattach it comes on again, despite car being off.

So I removed the engine compartment fuse and removed the top layer to remove fuse 11 (internal fan) and no fuse there. Read instructions and seems start stop models have this fuse in location "5".

Location 5 is in the cold engine compartment bit. I have no idea how to locate this fuse box. I've looked in the general area of the engine bay, tried to remove some bits but cannot find it..

Anyone have an idea how I can get access to this to remove the blower motor fuse so I can at least keep driving til I get to a mechanic?

Thanks

On my S60 2007 the fuse for the blower is at the end of the dashboard on the Driver side, you have to removed the panel, Uk RHD.
Just guessing you may have a S60 lol should tell you in your handbook fuses locations.

Hi Guys, i will update my main thread.

AS for this problem it was the resistor that had fused. The guy who replaced it charged £60 for a second hand part and £30 to fix. He did say i could way for a brand new part for £60 but i did not have time so just opted for the second had part.

must be a common issue.

Put me off ever buying a volvo again.

Why as it put you off buying a Volvo? Every make of car has its issues and Volvo is no exception. My S60 (ok, wasn’t up to speed with Volvo back then) was Alain in the neck. The one after and my current on is fine, it’s luck of the draw… That’s far ownership for you.
