Cheers Iain, been a bit of a slog to get these bits as you know but glad to see it all arrived now.

Hopefully we can get Marc on to putting the car back together quickly now and run in as he has the block and head sat on the floor all built up with the new internals etc, then just injectors and mapping to be added prior to Marco having "a word" with the car lol. Suspension still to be added as well but that can wait, just be great to get the car back on the road

Nice turbo. Whast the spool up time like. I have a t3/t4 hybrid on mine and am spooled by 3k (with full 3" exhaust system and atp wastegate housing)

well i took those pics 15 mins ago,

so currently the spool up time is infinitesimal, I can get the blades to aboue 100-120 rpm with my finger but due to the fact I've emptied the glass shown in the pics a few times already tonight I almost cut my finger on the blades and thus stopped this silly practice

The supplier reckoned the threshold would rise by about 1000rpm IIRC, so that would be somewhere between 3000-3500 I reckon, on my own Rover it doesnt really get to properly shifting until 4000rpm (even though it's still nice and torquey under that) and thats useable day to day, so I dont see a problem in driveability once you remember you might need the revs that wee bit higher, or snatch a lower gear for the fun stuff, the mapping should allow for a good level of driveability still anyway.

Cheers Ashok, certainly in theory it should be good, but whether that translates to real results theres no way of knowing, we're not the type to say it will make XXX power, as theres no way of knowing, just have to wait and see.

lol, yes, be careful, these can be bad to you (and your wallet!)

Your rover is about the same as mine then. I am spooling at 1500 rpm which is giving me the torque, fully spooled by about 3-3500 and then it really hits you about 4000.

Ross, once mapped, are you planning on using an electronic boost controller or just letting the ECU have full control via the BCS? If its a GT30 series, I can probably give you a fairly good idea of where it spools on our cars and its characteristics
