Default FOR SALE - 2001 V70 T5 300bhp - LPG Converted

Morning

This is your chance to buy a BSR PPC 300bhp remapped T5 running LPG. Superb performance yet more economical to run than a D5.

LPG converted using KME equipment (supplied by Classicswede and fully inspected and approved by Classicswede). 85l tank in wheel well so no loss of boot space.

2001 Geartronic - 5 speed auto with manual mode
111,000 miles
FSH
Tax till end November 2011
MOT to December 2011
Full Black Leather
Winter Pack
Memory Drivers Seat
Electric folding mirrors
Heated seats
Eibach Springs, Koni Adjustable Shocks, aftermarket HID's

Recent new front tyres, recent refurbed wheels. Goodyear Eagle F1's and Uniroyal Rainsports
Had an alternator in 2010 and an ETM as well
Injectors were Jimathan cleaned last year. Previous previous owners had the wishbones replaced too as well as the driver's door check strap that commonly fails. Wants for nothing!

One ding in the passenger door is the only major one (visible in first photo below, near the door handle), there is some scuffing to the corners on the bumpers too. The rest is very straight.

Interior is as new, leather is in excellent condition.

One of the door microswitches isn't working properly so the alarm is showing a fault code. Still locks / unlocks fine so I haven't bothered to fix this.

And that's it! EVERYTHING works otherwise, and EVERYTHING that might need money spent on it has had it. This one should run and run.

Will be sad to see her go but due to a new business venture (LPG Conversions) I am picking up a very rare BMW Alpina Touring in the next two weeks.

Price is £3800 given history / extensive recent maintenance / mods / LPG conversion etc. You would not be able to get this quality LPG kit fitted for less than £1250. May consider selling without the kit but why would you want the running costs of the petrol???

Car is in Barry, South Wales and viewing welcomed! No test drives unless you have adequate insurance.

*Private plate not included

I will get some interior pics this week

As an aside, I get ~22mpg around town on LPG equivalent cost of 44mpg on petrol. On a run to North Wales and back (to see Classicswede) I had 33mpg i.e. equivalent of 66mpg on petrol!!

Dai will confirm the conversion is up to scratch and car pulls and pulls.

Hello,

Could you post some interior pictures, as promised?

Also, could you give me, as someone completely new to the concept of LPG, some idea of where one obtains supplies of this!

Many thanks.

As for LPG pretty much most major petrol stations sell this, there's normally one or two pumps at most forecourts. You can check your closest here:

Hi,

Could you just confirm - is the car bi-fuel (running on petrol or LPG), or solely LPG?

Many thanks.

The car will run on either.

It starts on petrol, once the engine reaches 20degC it switches automatically to LPG, normally about 30-40secs after start up from cold or 2 or 3 secs if engine already warm.

You can switch from one to the other at the flick of a switch.

It will also automatically switch to petrol if the LPG runs out.

Make me an offer as I have a deposit put down on a very rare BMW

I'm interested, but stuck awaiting tax rebate, bonus and having to either shift or px my golf.
Can't PM yet either and didn't fancy being one of those, I want it but can you hold on types which bug me as well.
However I will be keeping an eye on the posting to see if it's still here, probably everyday.
