104 views and no responses. Am I asking too much or is it just the wrong time of year and no one is buying?
Feedback appreciated

Mate, it seems that is the way it currently is. People are just not buying many cars at present.
I am on the other foot, and activly looking for a car, but as a buyer, I am looking to get MAX spec/MOT/TAX for my money. Also, location is a factor, being on the East coast of Scotland, I have to factor in travel costs. I suggest putting your car on Ebay, and hope for the best. I would be interested in your car, but I would not insult you with telling you what I would be able to pay.

No problem, although we'll agree to disagree about the interior of my 13 year old car. Maybe i'm being biased but i certainly wouldn't describe it as "tired" given the age of the car

Ewan, it is not personal mate, but I have my eyes on a few cars around the £1K mark, BMW 5's, Jag's, all the same age and older, and the interiors are in better condition thats all. So I am just trying to get the best 'bang' for my buc so to say

Nice old boat - however I reckon its £1000 worth (on a good day).
People just dont want big petrol engined cars anymore. Have a look on eBay and see what £1000 buys you. I pad £1050 for my 2001 V70T5 with far less miles. Its just the reality of 2nd hand car sales in the UK.

But it is a Diesel not a petrol, which will help a bit. But as I said before, I have seen a lot of BMW 5 series for £900, and some Stype JAgs at £1000, in much nicer condition, but agreed, most are large petrol engines. But that does not bother me, as i need it as a second car.
