So decided to keep it bought a cheap reliable Honda Jazz for those boring short journeys and now have the best of both worlds.
Hey ho!!!
The Jazz, surprisingly maybe, is also capable of covering similar distances as long as it's maintained but is reliable, economical and i'm told, comfortable even on long journeys.

Could be an idea for you Jack?

I did similar.

Had a 240 and 940. Sold the 240 as also had a Lexus IS 220D. Three cars was a bit too much for just me! Head gasket went on Lexus, so replaced it with a 2015 Toyota Auris Hybrid estate for best.

I use my 1996 940 for my work vehicle. it's perfect for me. Any other journey that's not going to get my Auris interior dirty I use it as the economy is great.

James.

Just sticking to my 960's and V90's be it for use as a van, school run or long distance. Consumption is not great but LPG is cheap enough
