Why did you have to go to Volvo? They're a lot cheaper from PFV, and just as good....??
Anyway, glad you've got it sorted.

V70 headlight
Hi both , all the aftermarket lights we got delivered had different fixing points to the originals ? My lights have three fixing points that all face you as you look at the back of the headlight the aftermarket ones only had one securing point facing and the double securing points were put on the side , asked PFV and europarts etc but all the lights were different or the securing points were different sent a picture to loads of companies and no one had the same as mine 😭 so had to bite the bullet and go direct and they had to order from Sweden.

£550 a pair
£550 a pair is a bit steep, since I got mine from the local dealer (with their discount because they service the car) for £420 the pair. They are very good and come with bulbs and electric levelling.
By the way the only reason for servicing with the dealer is the free overseas and national roadside rescue. I suppose a fully Volvo dealer stamped service book on a 19 year old car is a rarity, and I'm now going for the 190,000 service (though it's only done 158,300) soon so it's ready for some trips over the Channel. As we go abroad a bit, and nearly every overseas roadside rescue refuses to offer that on cars over 10 years old, or asks ridiculous prices - e.g. £50/day = £700 for a fortnight which is about what my 1999 V70 T5 is worth! |

A pair from Germany are about £160.00 and advertised as "with or without height adjustment". I queried this with the supplier who said I simply remove the electric motors from the back of my old h/lights and re-fit on the new ones.
Does this ring true or am I being told porkies. |

Absolutely true. Have been a couple of posts recently here confirming what I had been told by Bernie at Braydons and one day I shall indeed make the time to transfer the motors from old to new. |
