had my mates td740 fail on emmisions , tester suggested not to use supermarket diesel.
Solution, turn the top screw of the injection pump anticlockwise 2 turns, run car till tank empty, 1/2 tank of shell v-power diesel and new fuelfilter.
Passed test no problem, and has done now for 3 years.

Steve, shouldn't you have a build thread on D24T??? I've just put one up of mine - only a few pics though! I'm also trying to get hold of a couple of D24T.com window stickers.

Hi Ian, I got mine of ebay. Two owners with 160,000 on it. Only a D24t and 4 speed manual with O/D not sure yet how I'll get on with it as I'm an auto guy really. I'll post some pics over the weekend.

Ian... Yeah, i've been meaning to post up a build thread over there, now they're up and running again I'll have to sort one out.

Not much to it really though, quite boring!
