Default V70/850 Dog Guard Removal & For Sale

Must be getting old (or a blond moment !) but can't see how to remove the oe dog guard with the struts on ??? Have slackened the knurled knobs off and tried sliding it but no go....

I will have a dark grey and beige one for sale both in full working order along with a black 7 seater conversion.

Cheers

John

Flatten the back seats then allow the dog guard to go as far forward as possible to fully extend the little gas struts. At this point there should be little pegs on the ends of those sliding bolts with the knurked nut that line up with a keyway on the roof trim. When lined up right you should be able to completely withdraw the sliding bolt. Pop the plastic cover off the bit of roof trim and remove the bolt holding the metal bracket attached to the end of the gas strut.

If you're selling it then the metal bracket and little bit of plastic belong with the dog guard as these are not fitted as standard on every car. I had a plain plastic 'blank' where the bracket goes when I fitted mine. I'm sure a scrappie will have some blanks if a small gap in the roof trim sets of any OCD alarms.
