  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

Do any other drivers remember the days when a user manual came with the car? O.K. someone is going to pop up and say that ‘there is one on line’, however, a lot of what is in it doesn’t apply to my car. It’s a case of trying to find what actually applies!
I will always recall the words from ‘Roadcraft’, “before moving off, the driver must familiarize himself with the operation of the controls and instruments”.
That is literally where it is ! A very comprehensive owner's manual is built into the sensus screen in the car !

Yeah.... I remember taking a ‘56 plate Passat for a test drive (first of the new shape), the salesman brought it out and let me get in with the engine running. I then blocked the drive through at McDonalds for 10 mins....

I have downloaded the PDF versions of the car manuals and have them stored in the Reference section of both my main machine and the laptop.

The version stored in the Sensus system is a challenge to access and read (probably to disuade you from reading it while driving along a motorway)- however if push comes to shove and the car has power one can get some help from it.
