I attended a show last Sunday in Perth, and this Sunday in Oban, a total of over 350 miles and the 850 never put a foot wrong. Coming home from Perth was monsoon weather with standing water on the M8 around the Glasgow area. By the time I arrived home I decided it was too wet to put the car in the garage so it spent it's first night of my ownership outside and on Monday it was washed & dried and tucked away again

Last time the car was waxed was two years ago and the paintwork is still beading nicely

Haha, not so sure about modern art, but there again if the Pigcasso painting can sell for £20,000 then there's hope for us mere humans yet

This was supposed to be the 'arty' shot but with the weather rather wet and not wanting to get my phone damaged with the rain plus the limited lighting in my yard it never quite turned out as intended.

I managed to clock up over 420 miles the last two weekends attending car shows, the 850 took it all in its stride and without incident.
Glasgow - Bathgate (Saturday) Glasgow - Scone, Perth (Sunday) then Glasgow - Oban (this Sunday)

I filled up with petrol before heading to Scone, Perth and by the time I came home from Oban I still have around 5 gallons left. so 10 gallons for 350 miles which considering I sat in traffic for almost 1½ hours escaping from Perth wasn't too bad.

Not sure why Volvo never put a stay in at the floor cover of the 850 estate. When reaching in to get something out from underneath it's a pain in the ass and when trying to get the spare wheel out it's a proper faff. So I decided to bolt a stay in to make life a little easier.

Wow, I'm always impressed by how some people can look after cars. I look after mine mechanically but all this washing stuff! - I just can't be bothered! I've been driving for nearly 50 years and have owned over 30 cars and have washed my cars perhaps 3 or 4 times in that period (I mean 3 or 4 times in nearly 50 years not 3 or 4 times per car!). Yeah I'll chuck them through a car wash a couple of times a year and keep the glass and lens areas clean but that's about it!
