What’s this? V70 D5
So I’ve noticed an “arm” in the engine compartment with nothing attached to it thing is
What is it? Why has someone taken off whatever it was that was there? Standing at the front of the car it’s on the left (offside/drivers side) just underneath the plastic cover It’s a 55 plate V70 D5 2.4 Diesel Cheers I have a photo but can’t seem to put it on here? |

Try resizing the photo so it's smaller. I think you're wanting 2Mb or less.
Reduce the long size to 1280 pixels or so and you should be fine.

Definitely sounds like the swirl chamber actuating rod that has become detached.
If you hold the rod horizontal pointing towards the back of the car you will probably see the little ball that it has become detached from. You can pop it back on but it will probably pop off again. There are other threads on here that will tell you how to attach it permanently. You may not have noticed any difference in performance. Last edited by MGSheff; Mar 24th, 2021 at 23:22. |
