Default V70 D5 2003 Crickets from timing belt?

Hi guys,

Recently I replaced serpentine belt along with a tensioner. The cricketing sound is still present from the upper part of the engine. Here's a video:

Could it be that the sound comes from timing belt?

To check if the sound comes from the timing belt, remove the serpentine belt and start the engine.
If it does not come from the timing belt, check all the pulleys. If they are all OK the sound might come from the alternator (there are 2 bearings inside which might need to be replaced).

It's a pulley noise and it's urgent. The most common cause of death for these D5 engines, when a pulley would seize, wraps around the cambelt crank pulley and blows the engine valves.

As above, with the belt off, spin the pulleys by hand (also the alternator one like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_Pzmj0jxfw )

Use only quality parts, usually INA pulleys, Continental kits for the cambelt (no need to replace the water pump before 200k miles)

Usually the culprit is the alternator clutch pulley (use only INA or genuine), the A/C compressor pulley bearing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAGDkwYSFY4 or the tensioner on the serpentine belt. I would as well inspect the cambelt items if the previous owner installed cheap parts.

Crikety noises is more than likely the alternator freewheel pulley.
