Brake booster leak
Have taken the car to an independent dealer who suggested the brake booster is on it's way out (I could tell my the hissing my the brake pedal in the footwell).
I also came across this video as the car was fairly noisy - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHLyubTrIQ8 He talks about checking various places for leaks in the system, could the brake booster be one of these leaks or do I need to go hunting for another? |

Hi
run a smoke test, you will need to remove the one way valve in the vacuum pipe, look on YouTube about making a smoke tester, Dave |

Thanks will take a look.
Does anyone happen to have the vacuum diagram for the v50 2007 d5 2.4l so I can trace where the hoses go? EDIT Perhaps to be clearer. I can see a hose running from the vacuum pump to the brake booster but does it go anywhere else? I see some models have a vacuum feed to the engine mounts but not sure if my model has those or not.
