Idling problem..injection engine
Had a search through the old posts but can't find anything similar....so hope someone knows the answer to this one...
Starts fine then tick over seems very high, within a few minutes (I guess as engine is warmish) it starts hunting, revving up then slowing down, almost as if choke was still on. Problem is only there on tick over, no throttle or small throttle opening, foot down it runs fine. If its any help this problem has evolved from initially being just a high tick over, assumed to be like a sticking auto choke throttle setting. Seems to be using loads of fuel as well. So how does the bloomin choke work on one of these cars? I'm used to good old simple carbs and manual chokes! Thanks for any help or pointers. Neil |

good question...
looks like its a B230F engine from 1988 with Bosch LH jetronic Its a 240 GL and its fur lined, but that doesn't seem to effect the running... |

First I would suggest check for air leaks on intake, spray WD40, or carb cleaner around gaskets and injectors - if revs raise when you do this you have an air leak.
