440 diesel
hi all got a diesel with catalitic converter just wondering if it possible to remove cat and still pass mot i did with my landrover and that was fine does anyone know if this would be ok for the volvo also is there a decat pipe made for this vehicle

I believe that pre 1993 registered cars do not require a cat for the MOT?

Diesels don't have a catalyser but a particulate filter. If you remove it the exhaust will produce (lots of) black smoke like older diesel engines do.

On the 440/460 there is a Oxidation Catalyst and no particulate filter.
