Happens every year

I'd like to get more power from it, but the engine bay is quite tight so hard to increase turbo and pipework sizes . Also, I believe much more power would start to test the transmission...

At the moment it's easily as quick as an E46 330i coupe in a straight line... (those are 0-60 in 6.3s).

Next upgrade will be a limited slip diff to ensure it has traction in the wet.

The best bit about it is how docile it is in normal driving - 99% of the time you don't even get close to needing to get it on boost... and the standard suspension and so on make it lovely and comfy

Thanks! A friend and I swapped the drivetrain over a weekend. A couple more weekends and evenings sorted the intercooler mounting, pipework (turbo, fuel lines, cooling etc) and wiring to make it driveable, and another afternoon to build the exhaust.

With modern cars (this is modern to me!) It's fiddly things like working out the speed signal to the ECU which take the time. That needed the clocks to be removed and a hall sensor glued into the Speedo to sense the Speedo cable revolutions

If you notice , 300 speedos are already equipped for a hall sensor recessed in the back of the speedo to measure the cable speed , but volvo never used it .

Indeed - that's what I used Someone on Facebook sells 3d printed holders and/or kits to allow that. If it's not you I'm happy to pass details on!

Thanks for the insight! I'm still on a learning curve with my standard 360 so those sort of mods would seem like a whole different level for me! Worth all the effort when its done I'm sure, quite a sleeper I guess!
