Starting a new On Call subscription with a Used Car
I'm about to buy a used XC60 from an independent (non-Volvo) dealer this weekend which has On Call. This isn't something I've discussed with the salesperson, so I'm not sure what the process is.

I think you will have to get your appointed dealership to help with setting up VOC as it can be bit of a involved process. Usually it involves resetting the car to factory pre-sets and erasing the previous owners VOC details, which may be difficult if the last owner has not already done so as you need their pin number. The dealer will be able to access all this information and will be able to transfer any remaining VOC subscription to your account.
A few things you can do before getting your new car is set up a Volvo ID and download the VOC app to your phone, just saves a bit of time at the dealership as this is part of the set-up procedure. https://volvoid.eu.volvocars.com/Acc...e=en&market=GB MY Volvo is a good source for everything to do with your car.

Thanks for that. I don't have an appointed dealership as such. I guess I will have to choose one locally and ask there.
I'll take a look at creating an Id and see where that takes me. I'll also need to see what the state of play is with the car (and it's idea of the Id) at the weekend. |
