Default Volvo Dealer Alloy repair

Had a free puncture repair a few months ago, and the wheel got damaged when they took the tyre off.

it looked like it had been dragged on its face, had a mark similar to a kerbing, and lots of imprints on the front face along the rim.

they agreed to pay for their guy to do a refurb on it.

just got it back today after a 4 hour wait and it still has a couple of marks on it.

some along the face of the wheel, although they aren't very noticeable, but you CAN feel them.

and the attached image shows the worst bit of damage after their touch up.

shall I complain again ?

to me its still noticeable and might get worse ?

As a Volvo dealer repair should it not be 'good as new' - I would ask service manager/director to check & if not prepared to redo repair then at very least provide 12 month guarantee on the repair

they left these little bits too - looks like they just sprayed over the marks rather than smoothed them down.

Chances are that you will get more mark in the wheels that you show just driving back to the dealer.

Is it really worth another 4 hour wait to get them repaired now? just phone him up say your not happy, send him the pictures and get them to fix it when the car is next in for service, that way no heartache or time lost

Yes I would, I would want the wheel in.the same A1 condition it was in before they damaged it.

Sometimes it's better to move on......life's too short and it'll be shorter still if we make the wrong choices about the battles we choose to fight.

Personally, I would put it down as one to remember for the future. It shouldn't have happened but it has. They do look like quite minor imperfections now and as long as they have been sealed and won't break open I would shift my thinking onto something else?

For me, the further investment of time and energy, above & beyond the quick call and email suggested by the previous post, doesn't look like a good deal. But each of us will have a different threshold.

Regards, Arianne.
