V60 best engine / gearbox configuration

Hi everyone, this is my first post and i apologise in advance if this topic has been covered before. I am looking to buy a v60 r design 2011-2015 vintage, and need your thoughts as to which engine and gearbox configuration would be best. I do prefer a diesel and have been advised the 5 cylinder engine in 2.4 and 2.0 form should be considered coupled to a manual box. Your thoughts please.

You’ve been advised correctly. The five pot D4 with a manual box is a good motor(Automatic are ok too). Surprising economical if driven right so you should be fine. A good seller on FB is SLR motors, keep an eye on what he gets in. All I’ll say is make sure it’s trouble free, an iffy Volvo can empty the wallet quickly.

Thanks for the reply,I pick the car up this Saturday. It's a D4 manual box in powder blue registered in 2014, with 90000 miles on it and a comprehensive service history. As they say you pay your money and takes your chance. Thanks again Philip.
