Superb 240 GLT Auto Saloon
Hi,
My 240 GLT AUTO is now for sale wondered if anyone was interested before it goes on the bay. Its the best one I have had by a long way. 160,000 mls but all the history is lost Have seen them for over £2000 (with history and lower miles) but still not as nice. Would love it to go to someone who would love it and show it Think its worth £1295 ono PM me for more pictures / info etc Cheers ADH |

You beauty. have you treated the seats ? They look super supple !
I was having a bit of a joust with someone on the 700 forum a few weeks ago, he was arguing the 740 saloon was more desirable / better looking etc than the 240 saloon ?????? Last edited by 57RKL; Aug 12th, 2011 at 10:27. |

Thanks for the comments. Seats have been re furbished and look and feel great.
I have to say a 740 GLE saloon with a B230e engine is a great car ( had a few estates ) and prob a bit smoother. But in terms of looks, driving feel and charisma a 240 GLT was always my favourite . Had a 764 GLE for a while - lovely car, very smooth, but fragile engine and always steered away from 264 / 265 again because of the V6 engines. Always admired the 164 but never drove one. Its a shame the B230 ET turbo engine never went into a 240 – that would probably be the ultimate Volvo . I,m sure its possible , but I could not bring myself to try and do that this one. |

Very nice and in brilliant condition.
First registered 4-10-1988, 2.3 Litre License due 1-6-2011 ? Status unlicensed ? So no tax then? Any MOT at all.Still a beauty and I'm not knocking it,Just that MOT and a bit of tax would have made it easier to sell. Wish you well it truly deserves to find a nice home. Regards Brian. |

Thanks Brian
No Tax - but MOT'd till June 2012 ( went straight through no advisories). It will be missed, but must be sold now. I'm sure it will be loved, esp if it goes to someone on here before it gets listed on ebay. |
