Roof bars

Hi all I wonder if anyone can help? Are the genuine aero roof bars for a V70 the same as those for a V50 please.

Hi, I use the aero bars I had on a V50 on my XC70. So I think they should fit on a V70.

What I mean is I've seen a pair of genuine V50 aero bars, And wanted to know if they'll fit a 2014 V70 I'm not sure if the front to back side rails changed from earlier v70's.

My daughter and I were caught out by roof bars a few years ago. We had bought a Halfords box and fittings to mount on the old model V40 she then owned. Used it a few times without any problems.
Then she changed cars to a V50. The day before going on holiday we decided to mount the roof box only to find that the cross bar clamps which secure to the car’s roof side rails would not fit as the side rails on the V50 were a different profile to those on the V40. We had to buy a new set of cross rails (Thule) that would secure onto the V50 side rails.
So it needs to be established whether the cross bar clamps will fit the profile of the side rails to which they are to be fitted.
She now has an XC70 but we’ve never got around to checking whether the cross rails will fit as she hasn’t needed a roof box recently and now tows a caravan.
