Auto tailgate closing mudule

Just a quick question to anyone of you that purchased the auto tailgate closing mudule.
Was the installation easy enough and has it worked successfully?
I just missed the boat on this one so just purchased mine today, such a useful add on, I’m suprised Volvo haven’t installed it as standard , or have they?

I fitted a closing module to my T6 two years ago. It fits behind the tailgate panel, next to the lock. the panels can be removed easily with care and the wiring installation instructions were simple and easy to follow. Just remember to re-lock the car after remote locking the boot

Bit the bullet and this morning started pulling the rear tailgate linings off to fit the auto closing module. Armed with a pile of new clips and tools, the whole process took less than an hour. Fortunately the new clips where not required as all the originals popped out and went back in. What a difference it will make to the wife now, no more running out in the rain to close the tailgate

I am just wondering if any members have had any experience with this module on Ebay, that does the remote tail close, auto start (on/off) and auto unlock after switch off, (on/off) ?

Only seen it on the UTube video, simple to fit, just pushes into the OBD2 port and tuck the wire and box away. Seemed a little steep on price but perhaps that what you pay for convenience, or maybe it’s progress + Brexit + Covid 19 etc.
Not the best place to purchase from if your in a hurry. The wait can be excruciating.

I've got the 4.1 version for wifes car and it works fine, the 3 features can be switched on or off but she likes them all.
Evgeny was very easy to deal with and delivery was 2 weeks. With the 4.1 there is no installation as such as you just plug it in.

I had to wait around 6 weeks for my delivery, in fairness it was during a lockdown and there could well have been production issues, so I may have beeen the exception rather than the rule.
Now it’s fitted I love it, a great device.
