Default T5

I found this handy when considering buying, I only wanted a T5, at first thought I would want a CC but a little put off by the looks of the body additions and reading through here it appeared the Helix transmission could be problematic.

Purchased a '16 R with every option bar BLIS in August and have not been disappointed. Goes like the proverbial off a shovel, especially in Sport mode. Its a little thirsty, but can't have everything. Very subtle, no decernable exhaust note which I find a bonus.

They're very good... no major issues, as said in that review most are the D2 which isn't a bad engine but it's not the most robust and needs a service every 12.5k. Get one with Volvo's own engine (D3 or D4 or post 15 2.0D2) and it's services every 18k and generally a nicer experience. Powershift autoboxes need full service history... again they're not unreliable but need to be looked after.

Ford derived suspension can wear so check for even tyre wear, knocks or bangs over bumps - that said though not usually expensive to sort.

Check ALL electrics - they're not unreliable but can be expensive to fix.

Finally - door locks - check you can open every door from the inside and outside and they they lock and unlock properly.

Full Volvo history is a strong plus.
