Not sure about overload springs and rubeer between springs. It would be interesting to get more info. Never seen overload spring before.

The 945 is the rare 2.0 16v turbo.

The 240 with Virgo is 1983 Turbo!

There are a couple of 850 R and a 240 D6

This is probably the best volvo mechanic in Italy. Marco Nivoli.

The overload springs are more or less the same as these

Perhaps the springs were rattling or maybe still not stiff enough?

You are aware the engine has the very much desirable bellhouse which people pay lot of money for to fit a strong OD behind any B20 of older volvo's.

Nice estate. If you give up and it's for sale than let me pick up (asuming your in Glasgow UK)

The B20 engine was common in 74-75 in 240s. All over europe.
This one has the M45 gearbox fitted which also makes the M46-47 fit to this clutchhousing. Therefore interesting for Amazon and 140 owners to upgrade to a stronger gearbox.

Btw.. never seen this bracket for the pas-pump.

Are you going to refit this engine or will the car be equipped with more ponies (B230FT/-K)

I get it now. I should consider myself lucky for future upgrades
This is meant to be a clean restoration. Only contemporary accessories.
The idea is: roof rack (I have it) thermometer (found last week) and big round lights (Hella/Bosch) on the front bumper (if anybody has got 2 please let me know!!!), rear bumper fog light (if you have one let me know!!!).
Any other contemporary accessories ideas are welcome!
