Prices are returning to their normal level, for 2018/19 people were getting a bit excited that every single 850 T5 would become a future classic and had aspirations of the porsche price increases the last 5 years.
This is only the case for a handful of extremely well presented T5 and R examples, I know of 1 850R that I would pay good money for, the rest are often just polished up with many things needing done.

850 T5 and x70 T5 are good value for someone wanting a daily that goes and drives well and isn't going to be worth nothing (like a 2002 1.6 mondeo with roll up windows and cloth seats), but don't get too excited.

Absolutely this, we have an immaculate, well as much as it can be used as a daily and sitting outside 855R manual, top and tail rebuild from the ground up, reality is it worth 8k but I can easily double what with what I’ve spent on it, prices spiked about a year or so ago, although I don’t think it helps with the imports coming over here, that said they don’t seem to be shifting either
