Service Due - Vida/Dice
The routine service warning has come up, albeit the dealer I bought it from said it had been serviced .... beginning to doubt a few things i was told now.
Anyway I am hopefully going to get my vida/ dice installed on my old laptop over the weekend and start using it soon but wondering if there is anything i can do pre and post service with the vida/ dice as best practice ? I am going to put it in for a major service + transmission oil change. |

Capture all the device part numbers and software versions by printing them to PDF. Then you'll have a before-snapshot that you can compare with an after-snapshot post dealer visit.

And when you get it back make sure the transmission oil degradation counter has been reset

Why do you think there was a problem with the garage? Just interested as I use them all the time and have never found any probity issues - undoubtedly they are all human and errors occur - like it is likely that the booster hose was not tightened sufficiently at my intercooler replacement, leading to a bit of a hiccup (4 hours waiting for RAC stranded at a services on a working day) but they apologised profusely, had it back, sorted and tested and the car has been faultless and drives great.
I know yours is an older model XC90 as I recall - ? 2004/5? - and you have often posted at how well it runs albeit you have concerns about the fuel consumption - older cars do break or need repairs , usually at the most inconvenient times - but just interested why you feel there was any dodgy stuff present with the sale?
