Best boot mat / liner for dogs
Can anyone suggest the best boot mat / liner to get to use with dogs? Use it mainly as a 5 seater rather than a 7 seater.
Looked at the official Volvo accessories, and the closest one seems to be the "Dirt Cover - 5 seats". It seems incredibly expensive though at £141. Is there a better one, that's fully waterproof, etc or a cheaper supplier? Thanks in advance |

There's a reasonably good vinyl type liner that I got for mine. Works quite well. Might be a bit slippy for the mutts but it covers all the boot interior, sides and seat backs included and also allows the seats to fold flat. It was about £63 as I recall. The one you describe above might be it but the price was reduced at the time as I suspect someone decided that £114 was outrageous. £63 is still too much IMO.

When the car was new, we bought the Volvo cover at about £140. It doesn't fit very well at all. I took the car back to the dealer who agreed it was not good. They ordered another and fitted that for me, it was just the same bad fit. The conclusion from the dealer was that they must all be the same.

Try ebay.
I bought this one:
Click me It's a thick tough material and it attaches to little velcro bits which you stick to the sides. It also has built in loops to attach to the back of the middle seats, and a flap which covers the tailgate when it's open. Nice for the dogs and also trips to the tip! Steve |

I got mine from Bootliners.co.uk - they tailor make them to fit whatever make and model car you have. This is my second one from them (last one was for a different make and model). They're made of good heavy duty material and come with extra bits to add on i.e. tail covers etc, etc. A bit more expensive than ready made ones, but absolutely worth the money. You'll only ever buy one of these for your car (unless you change model, of course).
Thanks. |
