First of all hello,
This may sound odd but I test drove a D5 and just wanted to know if the mpg indicator is the one on the dash next to the T2 sign or something ? As I forgot to ask

IF you have one it is in the display on the left , the same one that tells you your door is open etc ..

Ok thanks for that , I did click the end of the stalk and a couple of things came up but I'm sure mpg was not one of them.

You need to turn the ring on the indicator stalk to cycle between functions , if you get DSTC then blank screen DSTC etc etc you wont have the fuel computer ..

Have a look at the pics in post #1 of this thread - LINKY!

These were pictures from when I done an eco run in my V50, it is an auto (geartronic) so you can see what gear it in in (N=Neutral) which you won't have on one with a manual box.

To rotate the info display from Av Speed, Instant Economy, Av Economy, Miles left to Empty etc... There is a rotating wheel on your left hand stalk which when turned changes the displayed information. As Clan says above if you just get DSTC info then blank then DSTC Info again then the fuel computer is not active in your car - it is just a softare update to activate (an expensive one though!).

I think this function was only standard on the SE spec cars.
Mine is a Sport R-Design, but doesn't have it.

As SonyVaio has said, You can update the software to add the function buy costs a fortune.
