This baffles me also, and Im a techie! This morning, 3 degrees, used remote start, after 9 mins get into car, engine running, heated seats and wheel NOT on? I have the seats set to auto come on at the 10 degree point (not sure why we can't set the temperature for this) but they only start to warm up once I turn the knob to activate the car, so really, what the point of remote start if it doesn't even switch on the seat and wheel?

The point is they should work if all the right boxes are ticked, not only to heat and defrost but to cool as well in hot weather.
The front and rear screen heaters can also be set to come on with remote start along with the heated mirrors, if you have all the correct settings and perameters and they are not working a visit to the dealer is required.

Do you mean that the main display was blank or that the climate system actually showed the word OFF? If the former that's normal. Not sure about the latter.

I don't know what car you have (can you put details in your signature to make it easier for us?) but if it's a diesel model it'll take a while to warm up sufficiently to heat the cabin. I think the various heaters should come on with ERS (if ticked to do so in Sensus settings) but as I have the aux heater on mine I almost never use ERS so not absolutely sure.

In mine the main display is blank until your turn the knob, I assume the seats and steering wheel etc should still come on even though not displayed?

I get the note about diesel taking a while to heat up, but that aside, ERS is pointless if the seats etc don't come on?

That doesn't seem right. Iirc, the cut-off point for low fuel is ~10 litres.

As usual, car was in the garage overnight and the temperature there is already 13C so can't check how the heaters function. Putting the car on the drive won't help as that's in full sun.

Mr. Volvo please note:- I am assuming most people remote start, and parking climate from Volvo APP on phone, be good if there were tick boxes to turn on and off heater seats, steering wheel etc. As it can vary so much outside temperature in the Autumn time here in good ole UK

I might add Parking climate does work at above 10/11ēc for me, with car in garage.

Now I think of it parking climate works fine when plugged in to electric, it is only when not plugged in it comes up with this error. So now that makes no sense at all, as I do not have an Aux Electric Heater, (So I am told).

Now even more confused lol
