Default Volvo 850 t5 prices dropped?

As the title suggest have these dropped all of a sudden?

Not so long ago these were selling between 2k - 3.5k.

But now looks like they aren't shifting at all and there are few sub 1k? Only reason I ask is I was going to put my Volvo up for sale, but looking around looks like this have lost its £££.

I think the market in general has slowed a touch, the UK market is currently flooded with imports mainly 850's, that are strong money, they don't seem to shift at all.

I still think a well maintained 850, with decent provenance will command a premium, it might be worth waiting a while until the market improves.

To be honest, I don't think a T5 has ever been fetching £3500. They might have been advertised for that, but I watch the market all the time, ever since I had one and then sold it. I got £1400 about 18 Months ago and it was a decent one.

Well I'm trying to sell my black manual 850 t5.

I stupidly bought it for 3200 back in august😪. But looking to at least get 1900.

If not I'll start breaking it for parts.

It has got some problems mainly with running rich ect. Chucked some much money at it on trying to fix it, but failing

So I need to cut my losses and sell

They are nowhere near what people think they are worth.
You see it with 850r's with clowns asking £8k for them.
Worth about half that if lucky.
Sorry about your troubles and £3.2k was about double what it's really worth(ouch).
Hope it works out for you

Bet you it's something or nothing... but finding it is always nearly the biggest hurdle.
Hope it works out for you.

I bought mine in August for £2800 (t5 manual). I probably did overpay for it but loving every minute of it. I have already spent over £1500 restoring the AC system (dash out), new belts, PCV system and oils etc. But I still see that leas than £5k a monster of an engine with the m4.4 ecu and remap and a pleasure to drive. I’ve done about 5k miles so far.

However agree these aren’t investment cars as the market is flooded with them, but that just makes me less worried about putting miles on it! Cracking cars (so far).

Next job is to get the titan alloys refurbed that I bought and keep searching for an 850r front bumper!

You can get a new front bumper from Volvo for 285£

Which isn't bad at all
