Default EBP Parking brake not fully released

Hi Guys,

Just bought my first Volvo a couple of weeks ago and I'm getting a message on the dash saying "parking brake not fully released"
It seems to be fully released as its not rubbing of pulling when the message comes up.But make an annoying warning noise when I drive while the message is there.
Has any had a similar issue?

Oh Its a 2016 V90 D4

Thanks in advance

Default Apb

Got something similar + the APB was not working.
Messages: "Parking Brake" maintenance required and "Auto Parking" maintenance required.

The garage started with a software update which didn't solve it.
After 2 weeks investigations they found a broken cable. Now replaced, it works.

The next day I told this story to another V90 owner, he said he had exactly the same issue 6 months ago...

The car is 2.5 years old (V90 D5)

Thanks for the reply you were spot on.
I brought mine to my friendly neighborhood Volvo stealer, they said there was a cable harness damaged coming from passenger side rear brake.
Was charged for 2 hours labor and €68.25 plus vat for a "repair kit V32214494"
Strange they never saw this issue before but had a repair kit in stock
