Default Service Due - Vida/Dice

The routine service warning has come up, albeit the dealer I bought it from said it had been serviced .... beginning to doubt a few things i was told now.

Anyway I am hopefully going to get my vida/ dice installed on my old laptop over the weekend and start using it soon but wondering if there is anything i can do pre and post service with the vida/ dice as best practice ?

I am going to put it in for a major service + transmission oil change.

Do the following:Capture all your fault codes by printing them to PDF. Do this before clearing anything

Capture all the device part numbers and software versions by printing them to PDF.

Then you'll have a before-snapshot that you can compare with an after-snapshot post dealer visit.

And when you get it back make sure the transmission oil degradation counter has been reset

Why do you think there was a problem with the garage? Just interested as I use them all the time and have never found any probity issues - undoubtedly they are all human and errors occur - like it is likely that the booster hose was not tightened sufficiently at my intercooler replacement, leading to a bit of a hiccup (4 hours waiting for RAC stranded at a services on a working day) but they apologised profusely, had it back, sorted and tested and the car has been faultless and drives great.

I know yours is an older model XC90 as I recall - ? 2004/5? - and you have often posted at how well it runs albeit you have concerns about the fuel consumption - older cars do break or need repairs , usually at the most inconvenient times - but just interested why you feel there was any dodgy stuff present with the sale?
