Default Windscreen rubber mouldings 97 855 Estate

I am trying to replace the windscreen and roof mouldings which run up the A pillar and along the roof. Volvo cannot supply and anything from a scrap vehicle would probably be in poor condition. However I have been told that V70 mouldings are exactly the same and they swap right over no problem. Has anyone actually done this? I am told by my Volvo dealership that they are able to supply the clips for 850 mouldings. Any feedback much appreciated.

Yes Ive done it. I upgraded to V70 ones too which are wider, do not crack and peel, and have a channel to direct water from rain/wipers up 9ver the roof.

They are a straight swap part, and just clip in.
