Do you get any messages from the immobiliser system telling you wrong key?
If so, it has forgotten the transponder serial number and will need to be reset by Volvo (noone else can do it)

If the key inserts and turns and power comes on, but nothing happens in the START position, not even any immobiliser messages, then the immobiliser transponder in the key has likely failed. You will need to get a replacement key from Volvo, and also get it programmed to the car from Volvo.

Only Volvo can program keys to your car. Noone else can.
