Where can I find the warning siren and its battery on my V40 1998 petrol estate?

I've removed the siren but no change to the amperage loss. I think there is a battery which is charged from the main battery but I don't know where it is located. any ideas?

the small rechargeable batteries are in the siren they were never a problem like the bigger volvo ones .
