Default Cup Holder spill

Hi all

New shape S80 here, opened a can of coke while it was in the holder but I guess it was more shook up than I thought
Didn't open it fully as it started to fizz out and then I had to start concentrating on the driving!

Was a fairly big puddle in the cup holder and after about 5minutes, I managed to reach for some tissues and put them in there

After another 5-10 mins, I checked and most of the coke had gone

My Question is:
Though the tissues were soaked with the coke, I don't think it was enough for the amount of coke that was spilt
Where could it have gone (if it has gone at all?)

I took out the rubber mat where I noticed a hole in the middle with a bolt under it
but the bolt/nut didnt really look wet and the surrounding areas under the mat were not really that wet

Could this be a problem if the cokes gone in or is the whole arm rest/cup holder area a single unit without affecting anything?

thanks!

tut tut, drinking and driving on the move! 3 points on your license and a £60 fine that!

surprising how much tissue soaks things up, and fizzy liquid looks like it's spewing more than it actually is. There's nothing major under the armrest if it did seep though, but I doubt it did.

well i didnt quite get to drink and drive ! concentrating more on driving than picking the can up - binned it in the end
yes - a can in a non-recycle bin! lol

also, technically on the M25 you're not driving- you're parking

thanks for the advice... doesnt look bad, just a few marks on the gear area which i'll clean up but otherwise i cleaned the rubber mat and looks as new now
