Default V40 D2 - P2455 OBD code

Afternoon everyone,

Yesterday the engine check light came on with a ' Reduced engine performance' message on the dash. I used my Torque Pro app and adapter and the code P2455 came back - Diesel Particulate Filter Pressure Sensor 'A' Circuit High.

Where is the location of said pressure sensor and the DPF i've googled and found nothing. Will it need a new pressure sensor or will it need cleaning ? Will I need a new DPF ?.

It would be much appreciated if anyone else has had this problem and how it was remedied and if I need to take it to my mechani or if its possible to do it myself.

Thanks . . . Chris

Hi Chris. I'm getting the same warning now. Did you ever find out what caused it? I'm also getting an oil level warning light now and then. Just wondered if both things are linked...?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Ron

Not sure if both issues are related, but with this app and ELM327 adapter you can read error codes and display over 70 parameters of D2 engine, including DPF soot.
Car Scanner Elm OBD2
(choose your car in Settings - Connection - Choose connection profile)
