Come to think of it Luke I am missing the white plastic bit that fits under the panel behind the grille. The large plastic screw goes into it
I'll take a pic tomorrow Cheers

First, is that to hold the grille on? Second, are they the sort you screw a plastic (or maybe even metal) screw into? Third, if not the sort in the second question, do they have a fastener that slots in and turns through 90 degrees? I'm curious as i have similar on my Rover, both the sort you screw into and the sort with a 90 degree fastener you push in and turn, so far i've had to go to Rimmers (ŁOUCH!) for replacements but if they're more generic than i first thought, i've found something simlar on fleabay. Thanks!

Its the third type. A large plastic flat screw that turns through 90 degrees. It doesn't hold anything on other than a panel behind the grille It's just to stop it flapping about Cheers Mark

I'm not sure this is the right forum for help in that area Mark!
Joking aside, which of your hexagonal threaded fasteners are corroded?

I'ts actually bolts Dave. The one in the image of clip and there are about 6 others the same size. I did take one out and wire brush it with the angle grinder but it hasn't come up that great. I reckon they are about 2" M10 so I can probably get them on the bay

Gearbox stuff
Managed to eventually get round to all my little gearbox jobs today
First off I removed the gearbox mount sub-frame this was pretty crusty so I gave it a good going over with the wire brush on the angle grinder qnd then gave it a couple of coats of POR 15. Its good stuff but does dry a bit sort of rubbery. Sure it will do the job though. I then tackled the nylon bushes on the bottom of the gear stick linkage. As someone said a very easy job. Just undo the set screw with a 4mm allen key push out the brass pin and fit the bushes into the linkage arm. I've now got a much less sloppy stick Last job was to top up gearbox oil ( I will drain completely next time but I stupidly only bought a litre ) This job is easier with the subframe and mount out of the way and it's a 24mm socket or ring spanner for filler plug and I used a Sealey syringe to just top up until a little came out of the filler hole IMG_3143.jpg IMG_3144.jpg IMG_3145.jpg IMG_3146.jpg IMG_3148.jpg Quite pleased with jobs jobbed today Tomorrow its new thermostat housing , gasket and new top hose to stop little weep I've got from the old housing.
