A bit fiddly and you do have to be a bit of a contortionist, but I got there in the end.
Thank you
I've found its best to kneel on the ground by the open passenger door and lean in - weather permitting!

2014 XC60 Book is WRONG! The 12v socket in the car is fuse 22 NOT 7 like the manual states, it's located in the passenger side under the glove box small one to the left, easy but fiddly!
Thanks for the info exasperated!!

Middle row, second one down on vertical fuses in fusebox closest to middle of car,

15amp blue fuse powering 2 sockets is daft and they blow for fun

Default 12v problems here too

Hi, newbie to Volvo ownership here, with an '11 XC60 D3...

The 12v socket in the rear load area works happily but neither of the 'cigarette lighter' outlets will power anything.

I suspected a fuse would be the problem.

But... which fuse and where is it? I found a mention of fuse 22 under the glovebox in my handbook - but the fuse layout doesn't correspond to the diagram in the handbook.

Any bright ideas?

Cheers chaps. And chapesses.

Clan was right, you do have to be a contortionist to be able to get to this fuse (a left handed person would probably have found it easier than me, but I got to it by lying across the car from the drivers side.) All done, all working now. If it goes again for apparently no reason, then ill be off to Volvo to have a closer inspection of the wiring.
I write this a few years ago when I had this car. I’m pretty sure you’ll figure this out from what I’ve written. Good luck

Oh, and don’t leave the socket uncovered once you’ve replaced the fuse as the slightest contact with anything that shouldn’t go in there will cause it to blow again
