I must admit I haven't. Engine is newly built by Brian Randall. Also, the problem first manifested itself with the old engine, which was a different block.

Might be worth while if you can borrow one.
his sort of thing.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fluke-59-...0AAOSwdAlenlxJ Also an incorrectly fitted or inferior head gasket can restrict water flow.

Voltage Stabiliser, the latest episode
For background, I discovered that my VStab had been disconnected. I had assumed that this was an omission by the shop that had done the bare shell resto, so I reconnected and assumed all would be good. However the car continued to show very high water temp readings, so I sourced a new VStab from Brookhouse, who actually warned me that they had had a lot of issues with these items.
This time I took before and after photos of the fuel gauge and there was a difference of about 1/8th of a tank. Soo.... I haven't been able to drive the car yet, as I'm still waiting for my flash Nardi steering wheel. Watch this space. Unless you "have a life" Last edited by sleek lemur; Jun 16th, 2020 at 21:10.
