Default Engine Service required: ECM-135F & ECM-1507

Hello,
I recently sold my XC70 (sold at 270.000km) and bought a 2006 XC90 with 66.000KM so very low mileage and full Volvo service history with recent cam belt and waterpump change!

I have VIDA and I am used to work on cars myself.

Recently I had the engine warning light coming up, I read the car with VIDA and following messages showed up:
ECM-135F: MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR: signal too low
ECM-1507: TURBO CONTROL: too low pressure.

Facts:
the car only goes in limp mode when the outside temperature is around freezing AND when I require more power from the engine so that looks to be related.

I already changed the MAF for a new one from Skandix but that did not resolve the issue. Yesterday I have ordered a new MAP sensor which sits around the intercooler so I am waiting for that to arrive. I have cleaned the old MAP sensor but that didn't help. Hopefully the new MAP sensor will solve the issue.
I am also planning to swap the turbo resonator box for a flexible replacement hose since I think the seals are on their way out (I see a but of oil on the air charger pipe to the IC, not much...like a drip or so).

If the new MAP sensor does not resolve the issue, there is probably an air leak somewhere but I cannot hear any noise or whatsoever. Also, when the car doesn't go in limp mode, it drives absolutely fine with good power delivery.

Any other suggestions please? Thanks.

I just did another readout with Vida with engine at operating temperature:
ECM-intake manifold pressure: 973hpa
ECM-air mass: 45.9kg/h (idle rpm)
ECM-Engine speed: 698r/min
Ecm-Boost Pressure desired value: 1012hpa
ECM-Intake Air temperature (TMAP): 110.96 degrees C

I am thinking that the 'ECM-Intake Air temperature' is faulty and is causing the limp mode. Is that possible?
Can anyone confirm that the 'ECM-Intake Air temperature' reading should be close to the ambient temperature?

IAT won't be at ambient on a running engine but it shouldn't be 100°C over ambient at idle.
IAT will match ambient on a stone cold engine with ignition on only.

Why didn't you use the same live data before changing the MAF which wasn't faulty?

thanks for the reply; big fan of your videos btw!
I am actually expanding my VIDA knowledge in these last days troubleshooting this issue. So I didn't really think about reading the live data before I changed the maf...

Do you think that the faulty temperature reading could be causing the limp mode?

A faulty IAT sensor definitely will not help especially with it over reading by such a large amount.

so just to be sure, the IAT reading happens in the MAP sensor located around the intercooler, right?

Mine is in the MAF but yes some have a TMAP sensor so temperature built into the MAP.

Vida will confirm your particular setup.

update: I have replaced the MAP sensor which completely resolved my issue.
Intake air temperature is now showing the correct values in VIDA and the car drives much better.
What is interesting is that I never received an error message for the MAP sensor, but I think the temperature alerting threshold is around 300 degrees, while mine was reading 100 degrees. Not enough the trigger an error message in VIDA but still enough for the car to go in Limp mode.

@chesired5: many thanks for your input on this issue.
