Default T5 Forge piston & rods

So the time has come to go forge and hunting around for what im after and as I have no real idea and there is a bit of choice was looking to see if anyone knew?

First of is a standard forge kit? im guessing

I also saw this Wossner kit which looked good as well but has a choice of different compression ratio and bore size and I have no idea what that is, anyone able to shed a light on this?

so im guessing that is all I would need adding when getting the block mod done? or is there anything else I would need to think about upgrading the same time?

Default Shorter rods.

I have in stock sets of shorter, forged rods with ARP bolts for these cars. Fit with standard pistons that are quite good enough for nigh on 400bhp.... or you can go the Wossner route....

I'd be seeking advice from the wider T5 tuning community on the VT facebook page. But yes as Simmy suggests, both Tim and Shem will definitely be able to advise the suitable spec.
Off the top of my head I think the 2.5 T5 cylinder bore size is 83mm.

Default RS Cams

Have seen some RS cams online taken from an RS engine, would these be a good upgrade to have over the current standard Cams? Im assuming yes but thought I would double check.

Some idea of what you're trying to achieve would help.

As mentioned before, you really need to be visiting Tim for this kind of work.

He's second to none with these engines - Worth the drive.

Yeh absolutly, Tims actually going to be doing all the work for me ... just collecting up all the bits to then drive down there to install all at once.

Going forged with block mod but I noticed some RS cams come up for sale online and I was thinking while its being forged and remapped I could drop some RS cams in as well if they would be a benefit. Im guessing they would?

Sorry what do you mean? with the Cams? or with the general engine build in general?

If the cams are a benefit and will help with the engine build in terms of gains and how it runs then great I will add them but if there is no benefit on adding these then I wouldnt bother getting them.
