Unhappy Spring binding issue

Bought a set of adjustable coil overs for my 2004 v40 and after installing them the spring seems to be binding at the top on both front sides.

I replaced both strut bearings and got a set of adjustable swaybar endlinks but still no luck.

The springs are set to the almost lowest point.

The binding noise has always gone away for a day when I have tried to solve the issue by lifting the front on stands and taking the wheels off but always comes back.

any ideas would be appriciated.
